Sweeping Away in England

Theunis Bates wrote, in Sphere

LONDON (Nov. 25) --
Almost seven years after Britain joined the U.S.-led invasion of Iraq and amidst a still blazing public debate, a government-appointed panel has launched a sweeping investigation into why the country went to war and why British forces were so poorly prepared for the chaos that followed the fall of Saddam Hussein.

Maybe the Brits should launch a sweeping investigation into East Anglia University and the CRU over the eco-fraud they have perpetrated on the U.N., the U.S., and the rest of the world. Going to war against global warming based on intelligence from these clowns is akin to invading Iraq because the CIA said there were WMD. There is a difference, of course: there were WMD in Iraq. Even if Saddam Hussein's nuclear program was over-rated, there were abundant chemical and biological weapons and medium range missiles. Also, there were a multitude of other reasons for invading Iraq and seeking regime change, including violation of UN resolutions; stealing money from the oil-for-food program;financial and other support for palestinian terrorists; invading Iran and later Kuwait; using chemical weapons on Kurds; the torture, rape, imprisonment and murder of countless innocent Iraqis; etc.

Furthermore, in case the Brits have not noticed, we have been successful in Iraq. Saddam was deposed, tried and executed. There is a stable, democratically elected government that is a coalition of Sunnis, Shia and Kurds. The Iraqis are gradually taking over management of their own security.

On the other hand, how strong is the case for man made global climate change. Not very strong, if the leading "scientists" on the case have to fake their good results, and suppress their bad results. Investigate EAU, not the British military.

And remember: CO2 is Green! Oil is a biofuel! Global warming means a longer golf season!
Global warming is dead! Long live global warming!
